STEP 1. REGISTER FOR NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION (NSO)New Student Orientation is your opportunity to learn and ask questions about AFROTC. It is also where you start your journey, should you choose to pursue a commission in the U.S. Air Force or Space Force!

Step 2. Complete a sports physical
|
Make an appointment with a medical provider to complete a sports physical ASAP. You can normally complete this appointment with your primary care physician, a walk-in clinic (Urgent Care, CVS, Walgreens, etc.), or a school clinic. Take action on this step ASAP because you will need to supply this completed form at your future In-Processing appointment with cadre. As you work through completing the form, please continue on with the remaining steps in this list.

Step 3. Create online Profile (WINGS) & fill out necessary information

If you already have a WINGS account (HSSP applicants, prior applicants, etc.), please use your existing login to apply. |
Click the link to the left to visit WINGS and select "Apply for AFROTC." Download the guide to the left for step-by-step instructions.
Once your WINGS profile is created, ensure you add your beneficiary information in WINGS. If you have any questions on this, please email Lt Col Blackburn at [email protected] In addition, during the application you will need to report any past offenses, violations of law or ordinance, or any other adverse involvements with civil, military, or school authorities. This includes parking and speeding tickets, even if they were dismissed and were not officially reported on your record! Write down your WINGS username and password! You will need it throughout your AFROTC career. We recommend using a password manager like LastPass (paid) or Bitwarden (free) for safekeeping. | ||||||||
STEP 4. COMPLETE Required Documents USING ADOBE SIGN |
Once your WINGS account is created, send an email to TSgt Durago at [email protected] requesting for required Enrollment Application documents.
IMPORTANT: Cadre WILL require you to reschedule the meeting if this step is not accomplished first. The forms designated as "Enrollment Application Documents" are as follows:
All other required forms will be uploaded as "OTHER" in your WINGS Account. The list is as follows:

Step 5. (Only Males 18+). Register for Selective Service Number
|
Males who are 18 or over must register for a selective service number. Please go to https://www.sss.gov/ to complete this step. A "How-To" guide is located below Step 5 for your convenience!

STEP 6. REGISTER FOR AS CLASS & LEADERSHIP LABORATORY (LLAB)

Use the button to Register for AS Class. Reference the file named "fall25_crns.png" to assist with class registration.
Cross-town students (non-LMU students) will need to create an account to start a new application. After you have successfully registered for classes, LMU will need to process the request before you can proceed to Step 7. Processing times vary, contact the cadre team via email to check for status. | ||||||

STEP 7. Obtain LMU Onecard |
You will need an LMU student ID (also known as a "OneCard") for access to LMU's campus.
The office is open from 8a.m. - 5p.m., Monday - Friday (excluding university holidays). Be sure to give yourself ample time to obtain the OneCard as there will be other students getting their card. Step 8. Make an appointment with cadre

Use the button to the left to make an appointment to complete In-Processing with TSgt Durago or SSgt Thomas.
Although the appointment scheduler creates a Zoom link, these appointments must be done in person so copies of your documents can be made and signed. The documents you will need to bring with you to the appointment are the following:

Step 9. Prepare for your appointment

Arrive at Detachment 040 on time for your appointment with all required documents listed above.
The location of LMU University Hall is on the map below. Upon entrance to LMU past the gate, park in level P2 or P3 under University Hall. Proceed to take the elevator/stairs to the main floor of University Hall. The detachment is located on the 3rd floor near the escalators. *Please note, there is a parking fee at LMU. Follow this link for visitor rates: https://admin.lmu.edu/parking/affiliatevisitorparking/ There is also free street parking off campus at the Lincoln Blvd/LMU Drive entrance which is a short walk to University Hall . |
